Resumo

Anthony Giddens has developed important theories that seek to understand the changes occurring in the context of contemporary society, especially in his discussion on reflexive modernization and its social consequences.This paper presents and discusses Giddens' analysis of the phenomenon of climate change and its societal implications, emphasizing his contribution to the sociological theory and the study of green politics.
