Resumo

SYNOPSIS. Present methods for extracting cellular slime molds from soil samples are shown to be biased in favor of spores and microcysts. To alleviate this problem, a modified method is proposed together with a method for partitioning active (amebae) and inactive forms (spores and microcysts).
