AirMed International's management team has over 30 years of experience with long-range, international air ambulance transport and is well established within the transport community. The company accepted an invitation offered in 2007 to expand its operations outside the United States by permanently basing an aircraft and relocating personnel to Asia. AirMed created a subsidiary company called AirMed Asia and began preparations for opening the base in mid-2007. The first AirMed Asia transport was completed in March 2008.
