ResumoAbstract The method of calculating the electrical resistivity by force–force correlation functions is generalized to many‐band metals. For two‐band metals a formula is derived from which the electrical resistivity R can be calculated by means of a simple perturbation treatment. For the phonon assisted s‐d scattering the temperature dependence of R is calculated for the case that the d‐electrons do not remain in thermal equilibrium. The two‐current formula for the electrical resistivity of ferromagnetic metals and alloys is derived.
