Resumo

An unneutralized rigidly rotating electron beam is absolutely stable if the distribution function is a monotonically decreasing function of H0 −ωLLz and if (ρBωl/c) < 1, where HO and Lz are the single-particle energy and canonical angular momentum, ωL is the angular velocity, and ρB is the radius of an enclosing infinitely conducting cylindrical wall.
