Resumo

Trichoderma harzianum was able to coil around and penetrate the hyphae of Rhizoctonia solani when the two fungi were grown in dual culture on tap water agar. The extracellular chitinase, 1,3-β-d glucanase and protease enzymes produced by T. harzianum when grown on the cell walls of R. solani, which may be responsible for the mycoparasitic effects, have been fractionated and characterized.
