ResumoAbstract The cyclic voltammetric behavior for two electrochemical reaction mechanisms, the CEq (a quasi-reversible electron transfer following a preexisting chemical equilibrium) and CEqC2i, (a CEq reaction followed by an irreversible second-order reaction) were studied. To allow calculations at high homogeneous reaction rates, digital simulations with the heterogeneous equivalent (HE) approach were employed. Zone diagrams for both cases are presented, and the characteristic behavior in limiting regions is discussed. Working curves for analysis of the behavior in intermediate regions are also presented.
