Synthesis and characterization of novel inorganic/organometallic compounds

Reactions of tetracarbonyl (1,1′,3,3′-tetra-tert-butyl-5,5′-pentafulvalene) diiron (1) with the halides bromine and iodine, and with the reagent HCI/O2, respectively, lead under cleavage of the ironiron bond to the fulvalene-bridged dinuclear dicarbonl-halide complexes (π5:π5-tBu4C10H4)(CO)4Fe2X2, with X = Br (2), I (3), and CI (4). By reaction of 3 with the nucleophiles CH3Mgl, C6H5CH2MgBr and C5H5Na, compounds of the type ((π5-tBu4C10H4)(CO)4Fe2R2 with R = CH3 (5), CH2C6H5 (6), a C5H7 (7) are formed. Treatment of 1 with potassium graphite, C8K, yields the dipotassium diferrate 8. Reactions of 8 with AsBr3, and SbBr3, respectively, lead to themetal complexes (π5:π5-tBu4C10H4)(CO)4Fe2(ElBr2)2, with El = As (9), and Sb (10). It can be asumed that in all derivatives of 1 a cisoid orientation of the iron centers is maintained. Reaktionen von Tetracarbonyl (1,1′,3,3′-tetra-tert-butyl-5,5′-pentafulvalen)dieisen (1) mit den Halogenen Brom und Iod bzw. mit dem Reagenz HCI/O2 führen unter Spaltung der Eisen-Eien-Bindung zu den Fulvalen-überbrückten zweikernigen Dicarbonyl-Halogen-Komplexen (π5:π5-tBu4C10H4) (CO)4Fe2X2 mit X = Br (2), I (3) und CI (4). Durch Umesetzung von 4 mit den Nucleophilen CH3MgI, C6H5CH2MgBr und C5H5Na werden produkte vom Type (π5:π5-tBu4C10H4(CO)4Fe2R2 mit R = CH3 (5), CH2C6H5 (6 und C5H5 (7 dargestellt. Durch Reaktion von 1 mit Kaliumgraphit, C8K, ist das Dikalium-Diferrat 8 zugänglich. Umsetzungen von 8 mit AsBr3 und SbBr3 Führen zu den Mdetallkompletexen (π5:π5-tBu4C10H4)(CO)4Fe2(ElBr22 mit El = As (9) und Sb (10. Es kann angenommen werden, daß in allen Derivaten von (1) ein cisoide Orientierung der Eisen-Zentren erhalten bleibt.
