ResumoThe flourescence "in situ" spectroscopy of electrochemically generated [Cu(I)LX]4 complexes (X=Cl, Br, I and L=4-methylpyridine, pyridine and 4-cyanopyridine) and the SER spectra of L adsorbed on copper electrodes are presented. The origin of the charge transfer (CT) excitation on these Cu(I) complexes is discussed and correlated with the CT process which takes place in the SERS effect presented by the L molecules when adsorped on a copper electrode.
