ResumoFrom a methanolic extract of raspberry fruit the 9-O-α-l-arabinofuranosyl-(1→6)-β-d-glucopyranoside of (6R,9R)-α-ionol was isolated. Its structure was established on the basis of 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The absolute configuration of the aglycone was determined by direct chiral analysis using MDGC-mass spectrometry as well as 1H NMR analysis of its (R)-(-)-α-phenylpropionic acid ester.
