Rough Sets and Fuzzy Logic

Abstract After a brief discussion of the relationship between probability theory and possibility theory, the paper overviews the various proposed probability-possibility transformations. Principles by which these transformations are justified are critically examined, which results in some conclusions as well as the identification of issues that require further research.
