Resumo

The solution-mediated synthesis and single-crystal structure of H3N(CH2)3NH3·Zn(HPO3)2 are reported. This phase is built up from chains of vertex-linked ZnO4 and HPO3 building units crosslinked by 1,3-diammonium propane cations. The relationship of the title compound to known zinc phosphate phases is briefly discussed. Crystal data for H3N(CH2)3NH3·Zn(HPO3)2: ZnP2O6N2C3H14, Mr=301.49, orthorhombic, Pbcm (No. 57), a=8.6924 (4) Å, b=7.8926 (4) Å, c=16.6224 (8) Å, V=1140.4 (2) Å3, Z=4, ρcalc=1.756 g/cm3, μ=24.4 cm–1, T=298 (2) K, R=0.025, Rw=0.027 (calculated wi).
