Resumo

In order to get fundamental understanding of recrystallization mechanism in the coated DS nickel base superalloys during thermal aging at service temperature, the NiCoCrAIYSiB coatings were deposited on directionally solidified DSM11 alloy substrates. The substrates were polished or grit blasted before coating. The results indicated that diffusion induced recrystallization zones appeared at the coating/substrate interface after aging at 1000 °C. Continuous recrystallization occurred on polished specimens while cellular microstructure formed on grit blasted specimens in addition to continuous recrystallization. The driving force and mechanism of these recrystallizations were investigated.
