Abstract The α-propionic acid moiety in. ketoprofen is attached through Wittig Homer reaction of ethyl-phosphono propionate on 3-benzyl cyclohexanone, prepared by G. reaction of benzylmagnesium chloride with 2-cyclohexenone (in presence of cuprous chloride)
