ResumoOver 160 strains of microorganisms were screened for exogenous lipolytic activity. The highest lipase activity was found in Streptomyces sp., Bacillus sp., and Pseudomonas fluorescens. Enzyme production was strongly influenced by the age of the culture. Tributyrin and olive oil were the best carbon sources for the lipase-producing strains.
