ResumoVitrectomy with vitreous injection of triamcinolone in a patient suffering cystoid macular edema, secondary to a lens fragment luxation after subluxated cataract phacoemulsification, was performed. Four days after the surgery she presented because of discomfort and visual loss in the operated eye, and was found to have a 3.4 mm hypopyon. We describe the differences between infectious endophthalmitis, toxic endophthalmitis and pseudo-endophthalmitis.
