ResumoThe following conclusions can be drawn: 1.1. Krukenberg tumors are essentially secondary to carcinoma of the gastrointestinal tract, usually the stomach, and most generally follow a scirrhous type of carcinoma. 2.2. In all cases of gastrointestinal malignancy in the female, the ovaries should be explored at the time of operation in addition to the exploration of the liver, mesenteric and retrogastric glands. 3.3. In all solid tumors of the ovary, the stomach and intestines should be explored. 4.4. If there is no general metastasis, both lesions should be removed even if it is necessary to do it in two stages. 5.5. These tumors should be regarded as fatal even though some of the patients are reported as well five years after operation.
