C. Weldon. Their effect on my perceptions of the issues involved were such that it is very difficult to disentangle “prior claims for the ideas in this paper. In any case. Weldon first expressed in 1975 the point that Keynes definition of the aggregate demand function on page 25 of The General Theory has no basis in Keynes model. I am, of course, alone responsible for the writing of this paper and any errors that it might contain. I also gratefully acknowledge comments on an earlier draft from G. Caravelis, D. Patinkin, J. Robinson and L. Tarshis, and absolve them of any responsibility for any errors, and the interpretation of writings, in this paper.
