Resumo

One of the most frequently occurring breakdown events in color kinescopes is the flashover along the inside of the neckglass. This phenomenon is associated with easily visible blue glow of the glass usually increasing in intensity until flashover occurs. The time scale for development of this event usually ranges from a fraction of a second to minutes and during tube life the frequency of occurrence decreases with time.
