Resumo

Chemically prepared polypyrrole films were exposed to vapors of sulfur dioxide, methyl amine, ammonia, and water. The resulting increase in electrical conductivity was measured as a function of the partial pressure. The results are discussed on the basis of the modification of the polymer surface layer by adsorption of molecules and subsequent electron transfer.
