Resumo

Isoscaling, recently observed in heavy ion collisions, is used to study the symmetry energy information in the nuclear equation of state. Two multifragmentation model calculations, the Evaporating Emitting Source model and a hybrid calculation involving the Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck transport model to simulate the early dynamical emission stage and the statistical multifragmentation model (SMM) which describes the multifragmentation of the residue left from the BUU calculation, have been used to examine the density dependence of the symmetry energy.
