ABSTRACT An investigation of the effect of fabrication conditions on the properties of certain iron-deficient magnesium manganese ferrites revealed that the time constant (t =EC) of the materials was remarkably dependent on the firing temperature. A startling anomalous peak of time-constant occurred when the samples were fired within the very narrow temperature range from 1330 to l380°C. It was found that although both the resistive and dielectric components of the time-constant exhibited a peak at the critical region, the latter was by far the more pronounced. ∗Communicated by the Authors Notes ∗Communicated by the Authors
