Magnetic Properties and Applications

Summary Formulæ for the variation of magnetization with field and temperature are derived, using the quantum modification of the formal Weiss theory of ferromagnetism. These are put into such a form as to facilitate comparison with experiment. The more important are collected in a table. Expressions for the change in specific heat at the Curie point are also given.
