Autores ResumoIntroduction: In 70's, Avin Toffler: people faced the future shock on physical and mental. (Lin, Don, 1999: p. 77) Now, the global environmental change force people have to adjust their body to fit for it. The stresses from disorderly society, cultural attack, information bomb and competition also make people' mind cannot afford it. Religion and mystic fan in millennium react people need to promote spirit to face the mental stress. Facing these problems, body/mind medicine is founded which dealing with body in order to cure body and mind and integrate body-mind as one. A lot of clinical experiments and have approved through body/mind medicine body is corrected and mind is relaxed, but how about spirit. Body/mind medical doctors' duty is to make people's body and mind back to their nature status, but physical educators' aims are to improve human performance and development. Somatic movements methods like yoga, Tai-Chi chuan and chi-kung are put into body/mind healing methods. Ken Dychtwald (1987): body relax and mental release could reach body-mind as one, but people could reach ‘universal consciousness' by yoga training. “I-Chuan”: If people could understand the universe doctrines and complete the Universe nature fully, they could reach the Heaven. Chinese believe to reach the enlightening state should be with knowledge and wisdom. So to promote spirit should go with knowledge and wisdom developing. Like Tai-Chi chuan, Hsing-I chuan is to cultivate body and mind. Hsing-I masters believe training Hsing-I chuan could reach enlightening state. This research discovered the philosophy of Hsing-I chuan to know how enlightening state reached by Hsing-I chuan training. Methods: Problem: body/mind medicine does not deal with spirit promotion. Hypothesis: spirit promotion comes from somatic movements methods' philosophical basement. Method: documents analyzing and inducing Results: Based on the philosophy of ‘everything is a tai-chi; everything has a yin and a yang' and ‘cultivating things to reach the greatest knowledge', Hsing-I practitioners could get knowledge and reach enlightening state. Discussion: Hsing-I masters created the movements of Hsing-I chuan base on the nature of human performance and structured the contexts of Hsing-I chuan base on the philosophical theories of ‘yin-yang', ‘five-element' and ‘I-Ching'. Through Hsing-I chuan education, practitioners could reach body-mind as one and promote spirit.
