Bierema Laura Bierema is Assistant Professor, School of Labor & Industrial Relations, Michigan State University, where she teaches in the graduate school and consults with business and industry. Previously she worked for AlliedSignal, Inc. Laura's research interests include organizational learning and women's career development, and she has published several articles and book chapters on these topics. Laura received the 1998 Richard A. Swanson Award for Excellence in Research from the Academy of Human Resource Development and is a Cyril O. Houle Scholar in Adult and Continuing Education. Laura received a master's degree from the School of Labor & Industrial Relations at Michigan State University and a doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Georgia. Berdish, David M. Berdish David Berdish is the Process Leadership/ Learning Organization Manager at Visteon Automotive Systems, an enterprise of Ford Motor Company. He has been at Ford since 1983 and has worked for Ford Aerospace and the Electrical and Fuel Handling Division in Finance, Program Management, Production, Quality, and Business Planning. Prior to his present assignment, he was the Process Leadership Manager at EFHD and led the strategic initiative toward making it a learning organization. The journey was exciting and the results at EFHD were outstanding. Berdish has presented at eight worldwide learning organization conferences and his writing has been published in two books and five journals.
