Abstract The susceptibilities parallel and perpendicular to the room-temperature c axis of [Cu en 3 ]SO 4 have been measured over the temperature interval 40 mK − 4.2 K. Antiferromagnetic ordering is found to occur at 109 mK, with the easy axis essentially parallel to the c axis. The compound orders as a three-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet, with J/k B ≈ −0.03 K.
