He is the author of numerous journal articles, book chapters, and reports on popular culture, teaching and learning, and sport. His writings have appeared and are forthcoming in journals such as Chapter and Verse, International Review of the Aesthetics and Sociology of Music, and Disability & Society. He has also published in a number of books including: Speak To Me: The Legacy of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon; Music, Sound and Horror Cinema; Popular Music and Film; and The Sage Dictionary of Research Issues.
