ResumoFluid injected from epinephrine autoinjectors into subcutaneous tissue is prevented from penetrating into the muscle by the deep fascia of the thigh. Intramuscular injection will not occur during firing of an autoinjector if the needle tip is in the subcutaneous tissue.
