ResumoThe small size of the focal spot of the Ehrenberg-Spear X-ray tube enables high resolution to be obtained with small cameras, and this, together with the small focus-window distance of 15 mm, shortens exposure times by the operation of the inverse square law. To take full advantage of this the specimen must be accurately defined and located. Powder cameras designed to achieve this are described.
