ResumoMultiple CH bond activations give molecular lanthanoid–transition-metal clusters from heterobimetallic organometallic complexes. In their Communication on page 7695 ff. F. R. Wagner, R. Kempe, and co-workers show there is an increase in the delocalization of the metal–metal bonding electrons suggesting a possible transition sequence from the bimetallic complex to the intermetallic phase.
