ResumoRosleria subterranea (Weinmann) Redhead comb, nov., commonly cited as R. hypogaea Thüm. & Pass, or R. pallida (Pers.) Sacc, is shown to have septate, pigmented ascospores. Roeslerina gen. nov. is proposed for R. radicella sp. nov. and R. microspora sp. nov., species with aseptate pigmentless spores. Scanning electron microscope photographs of all three reveal surface ornamentation that supports the inclusion of the species in the Caliciaceae based on other gross morphological features.
