ResumoThe magnetic properties of the three-band Hubbard model were studied using both a quantum Monte Carlo canonical projector method as well as the finite-temperature grand canonical approach. System sizes up to 10 × 10 unit cells (each cell consisting of three sites) and inverse temperatures (projection parameters) up to β = 30 (Θ = 80) are simulated. We find antiferromagnetic long-range order (AFLRO) in the undoped case (1 hole/elementary cell) both for small and large values of the charge-transfer energy. Doping destroys the AFLRO and an incommensurate structure is found with a wavevector along the (1, 0) line.
