ResumoZoological taxonomy and nomenclature have always been subject to great anthropocentrism. Since Linnaeus, most of classifications place Man in a preeminent and unique position among animals, may be as a Greek culture heritage ("Man is the measure of everything"). This prejudice has sometimes given rise to an ethnocentric explanation of the evolution and human paleontology.
