Resumo

Musculo-skeletal anomalies were found in 13infants in a series of 35 with duodenal atresia; an incidence of 37%. In 12 patients the vertebral column was abnormal. This finding equals the high incidence of vertebral anomalies associated with oesophageal and rectal atresia thus suggesting that duodenal atresia could be considered as an integral part of the VATER anomaly.
