ResumoA nonlocal heat transport formula has been derived by solving the reduced Fokker-Planck equation for strongly inhomogeneous laser produced plasmas. The formula derived by Albritton et al. is modified by taking into account the electrostatic potential. The maximum heat flow expression takes a new form in the steep temperature gradient case and is in good agreement with the numerical Fokker-Planck simulation results while the classical Spitzer-Harm result is recovered in the gentle gradient limit.
