Resumo

SnO2@GO core/shell microspheres (SGCs) have been synthesized by a novel and direct chemical bonding reaction between SnO2 microspheres and graphene oxide (GO) without any modified reagents. The physical and chemical properties of SGCs were studied by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectra and UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS) techniques. The photocatalytic activity of the SGCs was evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (Rh B) aqueous solution under visible light irradiation. The experimental results showed that the SGCs exhibited a much better photocatalytic activity than those of PS (pure SnO2) and P25 (commercial TiO2).
