Resumo

An argument on the drag coefficient of a sphere results in the expression C = C0[1 + δ0/(R)1/2]2where R is Reynolds number, C0δ02 = 24, and δ0 = 9.06This expression is in remarkable agreement with experiment for a wide range of R, i.e., 0 ≤ R ≲ 5000.
