Journal of Art & Design EducationVolume 4, Issue 3 p. 237-243 Defining a Design Dimension of the Curriculum KEN BAYNES, KEN BAYNES KEN BAYNES is Head of the Design Education Unit at the Royal College of Art and was recently co-director of the Schools Council Art and the Built Environment project. He is an exhibition organiser and designer and has been a keynote speaker at many conferences. Amongst his publications are: Attitudes in Design Education; Art in Society; About Design; (with Francis Pugh) The Art of the Engineer; (with Kate Baynes) Gordon Russell. Exhibitions organised by him, which include ‘Young Blood’ (Nov. 1983-Jan. 1984), have been shown at the Science Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, the Design Centre, the National Museum of Wales, and the Barbican Centre.
