Eight new prenylated C6-C3 compounds, (2R)-illicinone F, (2S)-illicinone F, illicinone G, illicinone H, 2,3- dehydroillicinone C, illifunone E, 12-O-methylillifunone A and 12-chloroillifunone C, have been isolated from the wood of Illicium tashiroi, and their structures elucidated mainly on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical data. Their absolute configurations have been assigned by comparison of the CD spectra with those of the known compounds.
