ResumoS ummary Naftidrofuryl oxalate (Praxilene), defined as a vasoactivator by Becker 1 has been claimed to improve the circulation, particularly in patients with severe circulatory impairment. Several clinical studies 2,3,4 have claimed improvement in circulatory disorders both as a result of oral and parenteral administration of Praxilene. In view of claims that Praxilene is devoid of side effects, such as hypotension and flushing produced by other vasodilators in general use, we decided to measure changes in blood flow in response to this preparation.
