Resumo

The frequency dependent conductivity of solid silver bromide has been measured in the 100 MHz to 60 GHz frequency range, at different temperatures. The microwave conductivity is found to be dominated by a thermally activated Debye-type relaxation process. The relaxation is consistently explained in terms of the frequent formation and direct recombination of Frenkel pairs.
