A method for the determination of protein-bound iodine in minimal amounts (0.1 ml) of blood serum or plasma is described. Ceric arsenious catalysis is used and stopped by brucine. The addition of brucine greatly intensifies the color reaction. The technique of the estimation is described in detail. L'auteur décrit une méthode de détermination de l'iode liée à des protéines dans des quantités minima de sérum ou de plasma sanguin (0.1 ml). La réaction catalytique entre le cérium (IV) et l'acide arsénieux est employée et arrêtée par la brucine. L'addition de brucine intensifie considérablement la réaction colorée. Die katalytische Reaktion zwischen Cer(IV) und arseniger Säure wurde benützt und durch Brucin zum Stillstand gebracht. Durch die Zugabe von Brucin wird die Intensität der Farbreaktion sehr erhöht.
