ResumoStaphylococcal infections of joints can be difficult to eradicate, and when multidrug resistance is a factor, there are only a handful of treatment options. The following case study describes a patient with a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus knee infection that was successfully treated with daptomycin after twice failing on vancomycin.
