Die Synthese der β,β′-Hexanooxepine 3 und [6]Paracyclophane 5 mit Sauerstoff-Funktionen in der Hexanobrücke wird beschrieben. Edukte sind 4-Cyclooctin-1-ol und 3,4-Furandicarbonsäure-diethylester. Die Stereochemie der Hydroxyoxepine 3b und Phane 5b wird ausführlich diskutiert. Synthesis of Medium and Large Rings, XIV. Synthesis of β,β′-Hexanooxepins and [6]Paracyclophanes with Oxygen Functions in the Hexano Bridge The synthesis of β,β′-hexanooxepins 3 and [6]paracyclophanes 5 with oxygen functions in the hexano bridge is described. Starting materials are 4-cyclooctyn-1-ol and diethyl 3,4-furandicarboxylate. The stereochemistry of the hydroxyoxepins 3b and cyclophanes 5b is discussed in detail.
