October 01 2008 Metastructure: Experimental Utopia and Traumatic Memory in Constant's New Babylon Tom McDonough Tom McDonough Tom McDonough, an editor at Grey Room, is Visiting Associate Professor in the History of Art Department at the University of California, Berkeley for the 2008–2009 academic year, on leave from his position at Binghamton University. His publications include "The Beautiful Language of My Century": Reinventing the Language of Contestation in Postwar France, 1945–1968, OCTOBER Books (MIT Press, 2007), and the anthologies Guy Debord and the Situationist International: Texts and Documents, OCTOBER Books (MIT Press, 2002) and The Invisible Flâneuse? (Manchester University Press, 2006). He is currently completing an anthology of writings on the city by members of the Situationist International, forthcoming from Verso.
