Resumo

This work aims to study the non-oxidative conversion of methane in a HMCM-22 zeolite and to compare its activity and stability when using hydrogen regeneration cycles. Catalytic tests were carried with pure methane at atmospheric pressure and 973 K, with WHSV of 90gCH4gMo-1h-1. The use of hydrogen regeneration cycles promoted the increase on catalyst stability by decreasing coke deposits, especially the non-carbidic coke associated to Brønsted acid sites. The use of hydrogen regeneration cycles also affected the selectivity to products, with increase of naphthalene selectivity at the expense of benzene one.
