Resumo

1. The carbohydrate compositions of purified oyster and lobster hemagglutinin subunits were determined by means of gas chromatography. 2. Results showed that fucose, mannose, galactose, glucosamine and sialic acid residues were common to both subunits. 3. Analysis revealed a total carbohydrate content of 17·2 and 9·2 moles per subunit for the lobster and oyster, respectively.
