ResumoThe π component of the SiN bond in silylamines has little if any influence on their structure—this was established from the X‐ray structures of the silylamines 1–3 . The structural analyses show that the coordination at the nitrogen centers is pyramidal rather than planar and that the SiN distances are essentially invariant.
