The hyperfine and Stark spectrum of the J = 1←0 rotational transition of D79Br and D81Br at 254 CHz has been investigated with a high resolution millimeter-wave beam-spectrometer. The hyperfine coupling constants and the dipole moment of D79Br and D81Br have been determined. A discussion is given on the values of the field gradient and the dipole moment at the equilibrium intermuclear distance of the hydrogen bromide molecule.
