ResumoKeratinophilic fungi were isolated from soils of southern California by means of the hair bait technique. Samples were moistened with sterile distilled water alone or with sterile distilled water containing penicillin, streptomycin and varying concentrations of Actidione. Recovery of fungi was approximately doubled when the soils were moistened with water containing the antibiotics.
